Road construction & maintenance
Greenfield and Brownfield road projects, rehabilitation and maintenance for provincial and national road networks.
Civil construction · South Africa
From the roads that connect us to the infrastructure that powers us. Practical experience. Quality workmanship. Safety first.
This is KWAWULEZA
Based in Moorreesburg in the Western Cape, KWAWULEZA brings hands-on experience to civil construction and transmission infrastructure projects.
Our construction roots run through Wiltun Construction, established in 2012. Today, that experience shapes every road, concrete structure, drainage system and foundation we work on.
We believe good construction should create opportunity, too. We are committed to opening doors for women, youth and persons with disabilities across our teams.

Community upliftment · Skills development & training
At KWAWULEZA, we believe building a road is about more than asphalt and concrete. It is about building people and empowering the community where we work.
When we are awarded a contract in any area, community upliftment is not an afterthought. It is part of our construction plan from Day 1.
We prioritize employment from the local community, with special focus on unemployed youth. We give first-time job seekers an opportunity to enter the construction industry. Many start as General Workers, but our goal is to ensure they do not leave as General Workers.
We comply fully with the CLO process and community structures to ensure fair and transparent recruitment.
All workers receive continuous, hands-on training while working. Our experienced Foremen, Site Agents and skilled artisans provide daily mentorship in:
Training is practical, not theoretical. Workers learn by doing, under supervision, to SANS and Engineer-approved standards.
Our commitment is that every worker must be more employable after our contract than before it.
We focus on developing certified, marketable skills. By the time the project is complete, our workers will have the competence to work as:
We provide attendance registers, training records, and letters of reference to confirm the skills acquired. This ensures that when this contract ends, our team is ready for the next opportunity.
On every project we fully adhere to:
A contract has an end date. A skill lasts a lifetime.
We do not just build infrastructure for the community. We build the community's capacity to build its own future. When we leave a site, we leave behind a better road and better skilled people.
Women in power · Building with women
At KWAWULEZA, we do not just talk about women empowerment. We practice it on site.
Construction is no longer a man's world. We actively recruit, train and empower women from the local community to become skilled, confident and financially independent.
When we start a new contract, women and female-headed households are given priority during local recruitment. We believe when you empower a woman, you uplift an entire household.
We have women working as:
Every woman on our site receives the same training, the same PPE, and the same respect as any other worker. Our Foremen mentor women to operate tools, read levels, and lead teams.
We provide:
We groom women to become leaders. Many women who started as General Workers under our guidance are now Team Leaders and Safety Reps.
Our goal is to show the young girls in the community that they too can build roads, drive projects, and run construction sites.
We comply with all contract requirements for women employment targets, and we exceed them whenever we can.
We do not employ women to tick a box. We employ women because they are reliable, hardworking, and they build with pride.
"When we build a road with women, we build a stronger community. A woman with a skill will never be powerless again."
We are proud to be a company that builds infrastructure and builds women in power.

Experience on site
Our civil experience covers both new infrastructure and work on existing roads and sites. Surveying and setting-out establish the work area before excavation, foundations, drainage and concrete activities move forward.
Transmission work includes foundation excavation, stub foundations, backfilling and infrastructure erection. Our wider civil services bring together road maintenance, structural concrete, fencing and reinstatement.
Site organisation and safe working practices are part of how we deliver:
Our base is Moorreesburg, with project experience extending to Mpumalanga and Gauteng. Wiltun Williams began his civil construction career at Weskus District Municipality in 2001, working across concrete, civil and seal teams before establishing Wiltun Construction in 2012.
